How to cook or make Yam Toor Dhal Curry
Chena Tuvara Parippu Curry
Ingredients:
(1) Chopped yam after removing skin – 2 cups
(2) Toor dhal – 1 cup
(3) Green chilly – 6
(4) Ginger – 1 piece
(5) Green tomato – 6
(6) Asafoetida powder – 1 pinch
(7) Water – 1 ½ cup
(8) Salt – adjust to taste
(9) Grated coconut – 2 tea spoon
(10) Coconut oil – 1 table spoon
Mustard seeds – 1 table spoon
Gram dhal – 1 table spoon
Curry leaves – a few
Procedure for cooking Yam Toor Dhal Curry Chena Tuvara Parippu Curry
Wash the toor dhal and cook. Chop the tomato, ginger and green chilly
into small pieces. Mix them with yam, add salt, water and asafoetida powder
and boil. Smash the cooked dhal, add into the yam curry and stir. Heat
oil in a pan and roast mustard seeds, gram dhal, coconut and curry leaves
in that and pour them into the curry.
