How to cook or make White Gram Curry Kadala
(1) White grams – 250 grams
(2) Small onion – 100 grams
(3) Red chilly – 8
Coriander seeds – 1 ½ spoon
Masala – as required
(4) Salt – adjust to taste
(5) Coconut oil – 1 table spoon
Mustard seeds – 1 tea spoon
Red chilly – 2
Curry leaves – a little
Coconut chopped into small pieces – a little
Procedure for cooking White Gram Curry Kadala Curry
Soak the white gram in water the previous day. Cook the small onion and
wet white gram together. Roast the red chilly, coriander seed and masala
and grind them together. Mix that powder with a little water and pour
that over the cooked white gram. Add salt and boil. After boiling thoroughly
take the curry from the stove. Heat coconut oil in a pan and mustard seeds
to splutter. Roast curry leaves, pieces of red chilly and the chopped
pieces of coconut in that oil and pour them over the cooked white gram.
Ground paste of coconut also can be added for making this dish.
The curry can be made tastier by adding coconut milk.
