Very Easy Sambar Easy Sambar Ingredients:
(1) Toor dhal – 1 cup
(2) Cucumber – 250 grams
(3) Green brinjal – 2
(4) Small onion – 50 grams
(5) Potato – 1
(6) Tomato – 2
(7) Green chilly – 4
(8) Tamarind – equal to size of a lemon
(9) Sambar powder – 30 grams
(10) Jaggery – 1 small piece
(11) Salt – 3 tea spoon
(12) Mustard seeds – 2 tea spoon
(13) Coconut oil – 1 table spoon
(14) Water – 6 cups
(15) Fenugreek – ½ tea spoon
(16) Red chilly – 2
(17) Curry leaves/Coriander leaves – a little
Procedure for cooking Very Easy Sambar Easy Sambar
Take the washed toor dhal, chopped vegetables, 3 cups of water and salt
and keep inside the cooker and boil. After the 3rd whistle, switch off
the stove and after pressure is gone open and pour tamarind extract. Boil
again. Mix sambar powder in a little water and pour that into the cooker
and boil again. On boiling, add jiggery and curry leaves or coriander
leaves and take the sambar out of the cooker. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard
seeds to splutter and pour that into the sambar and stir.
