How to cook or make Tomato Rasam Thakkali
Rasam
Ingredients:
(1) Tomato with thick flesh – 3
(2) Chilly powder – ½ tea spoon
(3) Coriander seed powder – 1 tea spoon
(4) Pepper powder – 1 ½ tea spoon
(5) Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
(6) Garlic – 4 pellets
(7) Oil – 2 tea spoon
(8) Red chilly – 2
(9) Mustard seeds – ½ tea spoon
(10) Curry leaves – a little
(11) Coriander leaves – a little
(12) Salt – adjust to taste
(13) Asafoetida powder – ½ tea spoon
Procedure for cooking Tomato Rasam Thakkali Rasam
Cut tomato into small pieces. Smash the garlic pellets. Add water to the
tomato pieces and boil. On boiling, add smashed garlic, other powdered
ingredients and salt. On boiling again, stop heating and remove the vessel
from stove. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds in the oil to splutter.
Also roast the pieces of red chilly and curry leaves in the same oil and
add them into the rasam. Finally, sprinkle pieces of coriander leaves.
