How to cook or make Tapioca with Meat (Kappa
with Irachi)
Ingredients:
(1) Beef – 1 kg
(2) Tapioca – 1 kg
(3) Big onion – 3
(4) Small onion – 6
Garlic – 6
Ginger – 1 small piece
Green chilly – 3
Curry leaves – a little
Tomato – 2
Coconut oil – 1 table spoon
(5) Coriander seeds powder – 2 table spoons
Chilly powder – 1 table spoon
Turmeric powder – ¼ table spoon
Cardamom – 4
Cinnamon – 2 pieces
Clove – 4
Fennel powder – 1 tea spoon
(6) Grated coconut – half of a coconut
Small onion – 2
Green chilly – 2
Garlic – 2
Procedure for cooking Tapioca with Meat (Kappa with Irachi)
Cut the tapioca into pieces and wash them. Add salt and water and boil.
When the tapioca is cooked, remove the water. Heat coconut oil in a cooker
and roast the ingredients under (4) in that oil. Then add small pieces
of meat into that. Add ingredients under (5) also into the cooker. Then
close the cooker and heat. Dry the water in the meat. Then add the cooked
tapioca pieces into the cooker and mix thoroughly. Grind the ingredients
(6) together into a fine paste, add that into the meat tapioca mix, stir
well and boil once again. Then take that out and serve.
