How to cook or make Tapioca Meat Curry (Kappa
Irachi Koottu)
Ingredients:
(1) Tapioca – ¼ kg
(2) Garlic – 5 pellets
(3) Meat – ½ kg
(4) Big onion – 3
(5) Salt – adjust to taste
(6) Green chilly – 4
(7) Coriander leaves – as required
(8) Turmeric powder – ¼ tea spoon
(9) Oil – 2 table spoon
Procedure for cooking Tapioca Meat Curry (Kappa Irachi Koottu)
Remove the skin of tapioca, wash it and cut into small pieces. Apply salt
on the tapioca pieces and then fry them in oil. Grind green chilly, coriander
leaves, turmeric powder and garlic together. Chop big onion into long
thin pieces. Heat oil in a pan and roast the pieces of big onion in that.
Then add the ground ingredients into that and stir well. Add pieces of
meat and required quantity of salt, stir well, close the vessel with a
lid and boil. Mix the cooked pieces of meat with the fried pieces of tapioca
by stirring well. Decorate by sprinkling coriander leaves on the top.
