Kerala Tamil Tandoori Chicken recipe

How to cook or make Tandoori Chicken

Tandoori Chicken Ingredients:
(1) Medium size tender chicken – 1
(2) Red chilly powder – 1 table spoon (rough powder)
(3) Ginger – 1 piece (chopped)
(4) Masala powder – 2 tea spoon
(5) Garlic – 4 pellets (chopped)
(6) Ghee – ½ tea spoon
(7) Jileby color – a little
(8) Lemon juice – 2 tea spoon
(9) Salt – adjust to taste
(10) Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon

Procedure for cooking Tandoori Chicken

Remove the skin of chicken and clean it. Put lines on the chicken horizontally and vertically. Put the chicken in water, add salt and turmeric powder and boil. After the chicken is cooked, keep the liquid separately. Add salt and lemon juice into that liquid. Mix chilly powder, masala powder, ginger, garlic, jileby color and ghee in the soup. Cut the chicken vertically into two pieces. Apply the prepared soup mixture over the chicken pieces and keep for one hour. After one hour apply the remaining masala also on the chicken pieces. Fix iron rods in burning fire and when that becomes red heat, roast the chicken pieces by placing on the rods. After roasting one side, flip the pieces and roast the other side also. Avoid over roasting which will make the pieces too hard.
