How to cook or make Raw Jack Fruit Curry
(Chakka Mulakooshyam)
Ingredients:
(1) Cleaned and chopped raw jack fruit – 2 cup
Salt – adjust to taste
(2) Toor dhal – 1 cup
(3) Coconut – half of a coconut
Cumin seed – ½ tea spoon
Red chilly – 2
(4) Coconut oil – 2 tea spoon
Mustard seeds – ½ tea spoon
Red chilly – 1
Curry leaves – a little
Black gram dhal – ¼ tea spoon
Procedure for cooking Raw Jack Fruit Curry (Chakka Mulakooshyam)
Chop the jack fruit slices into small pieces and cook them with water
salt and turmeric powder. Cook the toor dhal separately. Grind the grated
coconut, cumin seed and red chilly together. Mix the cooked jack fruit
with cooked toor dhal and add the ground ingredients into that and boil
the mixture. Dry the excess water. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds
into it to splutter. Roast black gram dhal curry leaves and red chilly
in the same oil and add them into the jack fruit curry and mix well.
