Kerala Tamil Rava Payasam recipe

How to cook or make Rava Payasam

Rava Payasam Ingredients:
(1) Roasted rava – ½ cup
(2) Jaggery – 250 grams
(3) Ghee – 2 table spoon
(4) First milk of coconut – 1 cup
(5) Second milk of coconut – 2 cup
(6) Powdered cardamom – ½ tea spoon
(7) Cashew nut and dry grapes fried in ghee – 2 table spoons

Procedure for cooking Rava Payasam


Heat roasted rava in ghee till it becomes reddish. Pour second milk of coconut and heat. On boiling, pour melted filtered jaggery. When it becomes thick add first milk of coconut and take out of the stove before boiling. Add cardamom, cashew nuts and dry grapes and serve.
