How to cook or make Pumpkin Curry (Kumbalanga
Mulakooshiyam)
Ingredients:
(1) White pumpkin – 500 grams
(2) Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
(3) Toor dhal – 1 cup
(4) Coconut – half of a coconut
Red chilly – 2
Black gram dhal – ¼ tea spoon
Curry leaves – a little
Procedure for cooking Pumpkin Curry (Kumbalanga Mulakooshiyam)
Chop the pumpkin into small pieces, add salt and water and boil. Cook
toor dhal separately. Grind coconut, cumin seed and red chilly together
into a fine paste. Mix the cooked ingredients with the ground ingredients
and boil. After vigorous boiling, take the vessel out of the stove. Heat
oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds in that. Roast pieces of red chilly,
black gram dhal and curry leaves in the same oil and add them into the
pumpkin curry.
