How to cook or make Pumpkin Curry (Kumbalanga
Curry)
Ingredients:
(1) White pumpkin cut into pieces – 1 cup
(2) Big onion – 1
Ginger – 1 piece
Green chilly – 3
(3) Chilly powder – ¼ tea spoon
Turmeric powder – ¼ tea spoon
(4) Curry leaves – a few
(5) Salt – adjust to taste
(6) Curd – 2 cup
(7) Oil – ½ table spoon
Mustard seeds – ¼ tea spoon
Fenugreek – ¼ tea spoon
Red chilly – 2
Procedure for cooking Pumpkin Curry (Kumbalanga Curry)
Drop the pumpkin pieces in water and boil. When it is half cooked long
pieces of big onion, torn green chilly, Chopped ginger, curry leaves,
salt, chilly powder and turmeric powder. Stop heating before the cooked
pieces break. Heat oil in a pan and roast mustard seeds, fenugreek and
pieces of red chilly in that oil. Add broken curd into the pan stir and
heat for a few minutes. Then pour the mixture into the pumpkin curry.
