How to cook or make Plantain Flower Chutney
(1) Coconut – half part
(2) Chopped pieces of plantain flower petals – 2 table spoon
(3) Red chilly – 3
(4) Black gram dhal – 1 tea spoon
(5) Tamarind – adjust to taste
(6) Salt – adjust to taste
(7) Curry leaves – a little
(8) Asafoetida powder – 1/8 spoon
Procedure for cooking Plantain Flower Chutney (Vazhakoombu Chammandhi)
Roast the chopped pieces of plantain flower in a pan in which oil is already
applied. Roast the black gram dhal, asafoetida powder and red chilly also.
Mix that with pieces of plantain flower and coconut and grind. Finally
add salt and tamarind and mix well.
