Pineapple Kaalan Kaithachakka KaalanIngredients:
(1) Ripe pineapple – ½
(2) Coconut – ¼
(3) Green chilly – 5
(4) Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
(5) Chilly powder – 1 tea spoon
(6) Curd – 2 cup
(7) Mustard seeds – ½ spoon
(8) Curry leaves – a few
Procedure for cooking Pineapple Kaalan Kaithachakka Kaalan
Remove the skin of pineapple and chop it into small pieces. Mix chopped
green chilly, salt, chilly powder, turmeric powder, sufficient water and
pineapple pieces together and boil the mixture. Grind coconut into a fine
paste, mix that with butter milk and pour it over the cooked pineapple
pieces and stir. Roast mustard seeds and pour into the kaalan.
