How to cook or make Green Gram Rasam Cherupayar
Rasam
Ingredients:
(1) Green gram – 1 cup
(2) Turmeric powder – ¼ tea spoon
(3) Coriander seed powder – 1 tea spoon
(4) Chilly powder – 1 tea spoon
(5) Pepper powder – 1 tea spoon
(6) Cumin seed powder – ¼ tea spoon
(7) Asafoetida powder – ½ tea spoon
(8) Coriander leaves – as required
(9) Salt – adjust to taste
(10) Coconut oil – 1 tea spoon
(11) Mustard seeds – ½ tea spoon
(12) Curry leaves – a little
(13) Tamarind – equal to a lemon
Procedure for cooking Green Gram Rasam Cherupayar Rasam
Add water to the green dhal and boil. When the green gram is well cooked,
remove the water, add salt, turmeric powder, tamarind juice all other
powdered ingredients and boil. Then take from the stove, add spluttered
mustard seeds and coriander leaves and serve.
