How to cook or make Fish Mappas Meen Mappas

Fish Mappas Meen Mappas tamil recipes,pongal etc

(1) Fish – ½ kg
(2) Chilly powder – 1 tea spoon
Coriander seed powder – 1 tea spoon
Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
(3) Mustard seeds – ½ tea spoon
Fenugreek – 2 pinches
(4) Curry leaves – a few
Salt – adjust to taste
(5) Big onion chopped into long pieces – ¼ cup
Garlic – 12 pellets
Chopped ginger – 1 tea spoon
Green chilly – 3
(6) Coconut oil – 2 tea spoon
(7) Tamarind – as required
(8) Coconut milk – ½ cup

Procedure for making Fish Mappas Meen Mappas

Wash the fish and cut into small pieces. Soak ingredients under (2) in water. Heat oil and roast ingredients under (3) in that. Then roast ingredients under (5) also in that. Then add the soaked ingredients under (2) and roast. Now add tamarind and water. On boiling, add pieces of fish and curry leaves. Add salt and when the curry becomes dry pour coconut milk, rotate the vessel and keep it back. When the soup becomes thick, take the curry out of the stove.
