How to cook or make Fish Fry Curry (Meen
Varutharacha Curry)
Ingredients:
(1) Pieces of fish – ½ kg
(2) Tomato – 2
(3) Green chilly – 4
(4) Big onion – 1
(5) Chilly powder – 1 tea spoon
(6) Small onion – 5
(7) Coriander seed powder – 3 tea spoon
(8) Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
(9) Coconut – half part
(10) Curry leaves – a few
(11) Fennel – ½ tea spoon
(12) Oil – sufficient for frying
(13) Salt – adjust to taste
Procedure for cooking Fish Fry Curry (Meen Varutharacha Curry)
Wash the fish and apply salt and chilly powder on that. Half fry the fish
in heated oil and take back. Pour a little coconut oil in a pan and fry
the coconut in that. When the coconut becomes crisp add small onion, fennel,
chilly powder and coriander seed powder, heat them and take out. Grind
all those ingredients together. Mix the ground ingredients with chopped
pieces of tomato, green chilly and big onion, salt, water and turmeric
powder and heat that. On boiling, add the pieces of fish and stir without
crushing the pieces. When the fish is cooked stop heating, add curry leaves,
stir and serve.
