Kerala Tamil Fish Ball Curry (Meen Ball Curry) recipe

How to cook or make Fish Ball Curry (Meen Ball Curry)

(1) Fish – ½ kg
(2) Big onion – 1
Green chilly – 6
Ginger – 1 small piece
Garlic – 8 pellets
(3) Chilly powder – 1 table spoon
Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
Pepper powder – ½ tea spoon
Powdered cinnamon – ½ tea spoon
Powdered clove – ½ tea spoon
(4) Salt – adjust to taste
Bread pieces – 3
(5) Tomato – 3
(6) Big onion chopped – ½ cup
Ginger chopped – 1 table spoon
Garlic – 3 pellets
(7) Oil – ¾ cup

Procedure of making Fish Ball Curry (Meen Ball Curry)

Cook the fish after mixing with salt. Soak the bread pieces. Crush the fish pieces as well as the bread pieces. Mix that with chopped small pieces of ingredients under (2). Add salt also. Grind ingredients under (6) finely. Mix a little of that ground mixture with the fish pieces, stir well and make small balls with the mixture. Fry the balls in heated oil and take out. In the remaining oil add the powdered ingredients and heat. Then add the remaining portion of the ground mixture and when that gets roasted add chopped pieces of tomato, salt, curry leaves and water and boil the mixture. Add the fried balls in that and without crushing the balls boil and take out.
