How to cook or make Duck Meat Curry (Tharavirachi
Curry)
Ingredients:
(1) Duck meat – 1 kg
(2) Tomato – 1
(3) Big onion – 3
(4) Chilly powder – 2 table spoon
(5) Ginger – 1 piece
(6) Green chilly – 5
(7) Garlic – 3 pellets
(8) Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
(9) Masala powder – 1 table spoon
(10) Coconut oil – as required
(11) Mustard seeds – ½ tea spoon
(12) Curry leaves – a little
(13) Salt – adjust to taste
Procedure for cooking Duck Meat Curry (Tharavirachi Curry)
Wash the duck meat and cut into pieces. Chop big onion, green chilly,
ginger and garlic. Grind chilly powder, coriander seed powder and tomato.
Heat a thick bottomed vessel, splutter mustard seeds in that and then
roast the chopped ingredients in that. Then add ground ingredients and
curry leaves and stir. Add the meat pieces, salt and water and heat. While
the meat pieces are getting cooked add masala powder. When they are cooked
and the soup becomes thick add chopped pieces of coriander leaves and
take the curry out of the stove.
