How to cook or make Drumstick Theeyal
Ingredients:
(1) Gram dhal – 1 tea spoon
Red chilly - 2
(2) Coconut – half part
(3) Toor dhal – 1 cup
(4) Curry leaves – a little
(5) Drumsticks – 4
(6) Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
Salt – adjust to taste
(7) Tamarind – as required
(8) Mustard seeds – 1 tea spoon
Procedure for cooking Drumstick Theeyal
Roast gram dhal and red chilly in a pan. Also roast coconut and curry
leaves. Grind all these ingredients together into a fine paste. Cook the
toor dhal and keep aside. Cook the drumstick pieces after mixing with
turmeric powder and salt. Pour the ground paste over the pieces and stir.
Then add the cooked toor dhal and mix well. Finally add spluttered mustard
seeds and serve.
