How to cook or make Drumstick Sambar Muringakka

Drumstick Sambar Muringakka Sambar Ingredients:
(1) Toor dhal – 1 cup
(2) Drumsticks – 10
(3) Red chilly – 8
(4) Coriander seed powder – 2 tea spoon
(5) Fenugreek – ¼ tea spoon
(6) Tamarind – size of a lemon
(7) Asafoetida – 1 piece
(8) Coconut oil – 2 table spoon
(9) Mustard seeds – 1 table spoon
(10) Green chilly – 2
(11) Curry leaves – a few
(12) Coriander leaves – a handful
(13) Salt – adjust to taste
(14) Raw rice – 1 tea spoon
Procedure for cooking Drumstick Sambar Muringakka Sambar
Add toor dhal in water and boil. After it is well cooked add pieces of
drumstick and cook again. When it is half cooked add tamarind extract
and salt. Heat oil in a pan and fry red chilly, coriander seeds and asafoetida
in that. Then add fenugreek and roast that. Take all 4 items from the
pan, mix with raw rice and grind that mixture. Then mix that with a little
water and pour into the sambar while cooking the drumstick pieces. On
boiling vigorously, pour spluttered mustard seeds, stir and take the sambar
from the stove.
