How to cook or make Drumstick Leaves Curry
(Muringayila Curry)
Ingredients:
(1) Drum stick leaves – 1 cup
(2) Big onion – 1
(3) Small tomato – 1
Green chilly – 5
Garlic – 5 pellets
(4) Grated coconut – ½ cup
Turmeric powder – ¼ tea spoon
(5) Oil – 1 table spoon
Mustard seeds – 1 tea spoon
Red chilly – 2
(6) Salt – adjust to taste
Procedure for cooking Drumstick Leaves Curry (Muringayila Curry)
Grind well coconut, green chilly and turmeric powder together. Heat oil
in a pan and add mustard seeds to splutter. Then roast chopped pieces
of big onion in that oil. Then add the drumstick leaves followed by pieces
of tomato and garlic. Stir well and roast them. Pour the ground mixture
of coconut, green chilly and turmeric powder into the curry and add salt
also. On boiling, take that out of the stove.
This may be served along with chappathi and pathiri.
