Colocasia Aviyal Chembu Aviyal Ingredients:
(1) Colocasia – 200 grams
(2) Coconut – ½ cup
Cumin seeds – 1 pinch
Green chilly – 3
Small onion – 3
(3) Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
(4) Salt – adjust to taste
(5) Coconut oil – 1 table spoon
(6) Curry leaves – a few
(7) Curd – ¼ cup
Procedure for cooking Colocasia Aviyal Chembu Aviyal
Remove the skin of colocasia and chop into long pieces. Wash the pieces,
add salt, water and turmeric powder and boil. Grind ingredients under
(2) together and add to the pieces. After cooking, when the colocasia
pieces start to break, add curd and stir. Pour a little coconut oil, add
a few curry leaves and take the curry out of the stove.
