How to cook or make Bread Fruit Fry (Seema
Chakka/Kada Chakka Thoran)
Ingredients:
(1) Raw bread fruit – ½ kg
(2) Meat masala – 3 tea spoon
(3) Salt – adjust to taste
(4) Coconut oil – 2 table spoon
(5) Mustard seeds – ¼ tea spoon
(6) Curry leaves – a few
(7) Turmeric powder – ¼ tea spoon
Procedure for cooking Bread Fruit Fry (Seema Chakka/Kada Chakka Thoran)
Remove the skin of bread fruit and cut into small pieces. Put them in
water and boil. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds into that to splutter.
Roast curry leaves in the same oil. Soak masala powder, turmeric powder
and chilly powder in water and add that mixture into the oil in the pan
and heat that. Add the cooked pieces of bread fruit into the pan followed
by salt. Stop heating and stir well.
