How to cook or make Banana Erissery Nendrakka
Erissery
Ingredients:
(1) Raw banana – 3
(2) Coconut – half part
Cumin seed – ¼ tea spoon
Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
Pepper powder – 1 tea spoon
(3) Cow gram – 150 grams
(4) Coconut oil – 2 table spoons
Mustard seeds – ½ tea spoon
Red chilly – 2
Curry leaves - a few
(5) Salt – adjust to taste
Procedure for cooking Banana Erissery Nendrakka Erissery
Cook the cow gram with salt and water. When half cooked, add peeled chopped
pieces of raw banana. Grind ingredients under (2) together and add that
to the cooked pieces and smash and mix well. Then boil the curry. Heat
oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds to splutter and roast pieces of red chilly,
a little coconut and curry leaves in that oil. Then pour them into the
erissery and stir. Take the curry out of the stove.
