How to make Vaangi Bath at Home
Making Vaangi Bath
(1) Raw rice – 1 glass
(2) Dry chilly – 6
(3) Coriander seeds – 4 tea spoon
(4) Gram dhal – 2 tea spoon
(5) Black gram dhal – 2 tea spoon
(6) Copra – a little
(7) Asafetida – a little
(8) Cinnamon – a little
(9) Lemon – juice of half part
(10) Long green brinjal – ¼ kg
Roast and grind well ingredients (2) to (8). Wash the raw rice and then soak in water for 15 minutes and then take out.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds to splutter. Add curry leaves, gram dhal and black gram dhal, continue to heat and stir well. Then add roasted ground powder of ingredients (2) to (8), green brinjal, salt and lemon juice. Heat further and stir well. Then add turmeric powder. Add this mixture into the soaked raw rice and add salt. Pour water at the rate of 2 glasses of water for 1 glass of rice. Stir well and boil that in a pressure cooker. Then take out, stir and serve hot. This can be prepared without green brinjal also.
