Making Potato Curd Vada ( Urulakizhangu Thairu Vada )
                  
Ingredients :


                     (1) Potato cooked and crushed – 2 kg
                     (2) Coconut oil – 2 tea spoon
                     (3) Big onion chopped into pieces – ¼ cup
                     (4) Green chilly chopped into round pieces – 1 tea spoon
                     (5) Ginger chopped into very small pieces – 1 tea spoon
                     (6) Soaked white part of one day old bread – ½ cup
                     (7) Salt – adjust to taste
                     (8) Maida – 2 tea spoon
                     (9) Sour less broken thick curd – 2 cups
                    (10) Sugar – ½ tea spoon
                    (11) Gingili oil – 1 tea spoon
                    (12) Dry chilly – 4
                     (13) Dry coriander seeds – 1 tea spoon
                     (14) Cumin seeds – ½ tea spoon
                     (15) Coriander leaves chopped into small pieces – a little

Procedure :


Roast big onion, green chilly and ginger and on cooling, add the crushed potato. Then mix with bread and salt and spread in the shape of black gram vada. Mix maida with water into a thick solution and apply that on both sides of the vada. Then roast the vada.


Heat dry chilly, dry coriander seeds and cumin seed in heated oil and then grind them into powder. Mix salt and sugar in the curd and keep in the fridge for a slight cooling. Pour curd over the vada so as to see a part of the vada above the curd. Sprinkle pieces of coriander leaves at the top. Keep that at a comparatively lesser chilled place in the fridge so that the vada will be very tasty to eat.
