How to make Masala Dosa at Home
Making Masala Dosa
(1) Dobi rice – 2 cups
(2) Black gram dhal – ¾ cup
(3) Salt, Oil – as required
(4) Curry leaves – 2 stems
(5) Coriander leaves – a little
(6) Cooked potato = 2 (big size)
(7) Chopped big onion – 2
(8) Mustard seeds, turmeric powder – a little
Grind rice and black gram separately and keep for 8 hours. Pour 2 table spoons of oil in a pan and add mustard seeds to splutter. Add one table spoon of black gram dhal and when it is roasted add curry leaves and big onion and stir. Add crushed potato, salt, turmeric powder, coriander leaves and stir well. Sprinkle a little water and take the pan out of the stove.
Heat a big kadai, apply oil on that and spread the dosa mix with minimum thickness. Pour oil around the dosa. When the dosa is roasted, add 2 table spoons of potato mixture on the dosa, fold it at the middle and take out. Serve along with sambar, chutney.
