How to make Mango Jam at Home
Making Mango Jam at Home
Ingredients :
(1) Peeled fresh mango without much sour taste, cut in to pieces – 1 kg
(2) Clove – 12
Cinnamon, 1 inch long – 3 pieces
(3) Sugar – 1 ½ kg
Citric acid – 1 ½ tea spoon
(4) Yellow color – 2 pinches
(5) Potassiun Meta Bi Sulphate – 2 pinches
Procedure :
Put the mango pieces in water and boil it. Smash clove and cinnamon and add them in the same water. When the water boils vigorously, remove the clove and cinnamon. Crush the mango without lumps. Now add ingredients under (3) and keep on stirring. When the jam becomes sticky, mix the yellow color in 1 table spoon of water and mix that with the jam. When the jam becomes cold, mix Potassium Meta Bi Sulphate in ¼ cup of cold jam and mix that with the entire jam. This is to preserve the jam.
