How to make Lemon Rice (Naranga Choru) at Home
Making Lemon Rice (Naranga Choru)
Ingredients :
(1) Basmati rice – ½ kg
(2) Lemon juice – of 2 lemons
(3) Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
(4) Fenugreek – 1 tea spoon
(5) Oil – 25 grams
(6) Gram dhal, Black gram dhal – 2 table spoon each
(7) Mustard sees – ½ tea spoon
(8) Asafetida – 1 pinch
(9) Cashew nuts, Ground nuts – each 25 grams
(10) Red chilly – 4
(11) Salt, curry leaves – as required
Procedure :
Cook the rice and mix with roasted ground powder of black gram dhal and fenugreek. Add salt and lemon juice. Heat and stir curry leaves, mustard seeds, asafetida, gram dhal and red chilly till they become brown in color. Mix them also with the rice. Heat cashew nuts and ground nuts in oil and add that on the top of the rice.
