Kerala Traditional Meat Masala (Irachi Koottu)

Ingredients


                     (1) Red chilly – 100 grams
                     (2) Coriander seeds – ¼ kg
                     (3) Fennel – 2 table spoon
                     (4) Cinnamon – 10 pieces
                     (5) Pepper – 4 table spoon
                     (6) Clove – 25
                     (7) Turmeric – 2 pieces
                     (8) Poppy seeds – 50 grams


Procedure


Roast coriander seeds in a pan when that is half roasted add red chilly also.  When red chilly is half roasted add fennel, cinnamon and clove. Continue heating and stir well. Finally add poppy seeds, switch off the flame and grind the mixture to a fine powder. On cooling, store in a clean dry bottle / tin.
