Making Cheeppappam at Home
(1) Raw rice – 2 cups
(2) Egg – 1
(3) Sugar – 1 cup
(4) Oil, Salt – as required
Grind the rice into flour and mix with salt, egg and water to make a thick paste. Make balls of amla fruit size with the mixture and press them on a hair comb or on a tore piece of plantain stem. Then fry them in heated oil and take back.
Add sugar in a bowl and pour 1 ½ cup of water and heat so as to melt the sugar. Put the fried pieces into the melted sugar, stir well and take out.
