Making Brinjal Bajji (Kathirikka Bajji)
Ingredients
(1) Brinjal – ½ kg
(2) Rice flour – 1 ½ cup
(3) Chilly powder – 1 ½ tea spoon
(4) Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
(5) Fennel powder – ½ tea spoon
(6) Pepper powder – ½ tea spoon
(7) Salt – adjust to taste
(8) Asafetida powder – ½ tea spoon
(9) Oil – as required
Procedure
Cut brinjal into thin round pieces, wash them and keep for some time to dry. Mix all powdered ingredients together, add salt and water and make that a thick solution and keep for some time. Heat oil in a pan. Dip the brinjal pieces in the prepared thick solution, fry in the heated oil and collect back. Serve hot.
