How to make Aval Payasam / Flakes Payasam
(1) Flakes – 1 cup
(2) Jaggery – 200 grams
(3) 1st milk of coconut – ½ cup
(4) Second milk of coconut – 1 ½ cup
(5) Ghee – 1 table spoon
(6) Cardamom powder – ½ tea spoon
(7) Cashew nut and dry grapes fried in ghee – 2 table spoons
Heat the flakes in ghee; pour 2nd milk of coconut into that and boil.
While the milk is drying, add melted, filtered jaggery and boil again.
When getting thick, add 1st milk of coconut and stop heating before boiling starts.
Take the container from the stove, add powdered cardamom, cashew nuts and dry grapes; stir and serve.
