Spicy paneer curry is a gravy besed Spicy paneer dish .This curry for
Spicy paneer is made with – Onion,garlic,ginger,paneer,cumin powder,chilli
powder,coriander powder,garam masala,curds,salt,cardamom,cloves,cinnamon,green
chillies,coriander leaves.
Spicy paneer curry is the best to be served with chapatti or roti.While
preparing Spicy paneer curry we should make it with good consistency ,
you might have been noticed that some of the dishes we tried have been
failed miserably ,this is because we are failed to fry/sauté/boil
the vegetables & masala mixture for the required time .The raw smell
of vegetables & masala powders has to disappear while sauting &
while boiling the oil has to separate to the top of the gravy/curry while
boiling –wait to get these two signals-then proceed to the next
step .
Ok back to ,spicy paneer curry recipe preparation – here is a list
of ingredients required for the spicy recipe for paneer
Spicy paneer curry recipe Ingredients:
1/2 cup - onion, chopped
1 tbsp - garlic, chopped
1 tbsp - ginger, chopped
400 g - paneer
1/2 cup - onion, sliced thinly
1 tsp - cumin powder
1-1/2 tsp - chili powder
1 tsp - coriander powder
1 tsp - garam masala
1 cup - curds
2 tsp - salt, or to taste
3 - cardamom
3 - cloves
4 cm piece - cinnamon
4 - green chilies, slit
coriander leaves to garnish
oil to deep fry
Method of cooking spicy paneer curry recipes
Keep ready all the ingredients before starting spicy paneer cooking
Preparing ground paste for spicy paneer
Make a fine paste by grinding chopped onion ,garlic,& ginger –remove
from the grinder & keep aside .
Cut Paneer :
Cut paneer to 2 cm sized cubes carefully ,always use sharp edged knife
to cut paneer & cut paneer into equal cubes ,don’t cut it too
big or too small pieces .
Onion frying :
Keep a heavy bottomed pan on the stove & heat oil –Fry sliced
onions (we have sliced & chopped the onion,chopped onions we have
grinded to make ground paste,sliced onions we will fry )till it turns
golden brown (it means onions are cooked & no need to fry more ) .Drain
these fried onions to kitchen paper .
Frying paneer
Fry paneer cubes in a thick bottomed pan till it turn brown ,keep it aside
,use the same pan for the cooking of this spicy paneer ,no need to change
the pan ,but if there is any burnings or stickings to the bottom of the
pan ,you have to wash it again .
Curd mixture
In a bowl with curd mix cumin powder,chilli powder,coriander powder, &
garam masala powder together with salt to taste & mix well –
keep aside
Heat 4 table spoon oil in a thick bottomed pan ,add cardamom,cloves &
cinnamon – saute it for few seconds – add green chillies with
slits & the ground paste ,sauté till the raw smell disappears

(Be careful to keep away your face at a safe distance – while spluttering
hot oil drops may fall on your face .)
Add the curd mixture to the pan & stir it & cook for 3 minutes
,add paneer cubes & cook till gravy is thick enough to coat the pieces
-your spicy paneer masala is ready ,transfer the spicy paneer to a serving
plate & garnish it with fried onions we have kept aside & with
chopped coriander leaves –
Serve this Spicy paneer recipe hot with chapatti or with rotis
