Shahi paneer recipe how to cook & prepare
Shahi means ‘royal’,so shahi paneer means royal paneer recipe
,so let us have this shahi paneer .Shahi paneer is tasty & nutritious
.With this royal paneer recipe dry fruits are added to make it rich .
Due to the use of dry fruits like badam,cashew nuts gave it the status
of royal . Shahi Paneer makes a good combination with rice or chapatti
.To prepare shahi paneer we should have paneer,onions,ginger,garlic,green
chillies,pepper powder,red chilli powder,turmeric powder,garam masala
powder,dry fruits,milk & vegetable oil .
Shahi paneer recipe Ingredients
200 gms Paneer
2 Medium Onions
3-4 Garlic Pieces
2 Green chillies
1/2 tsp White Pepper Powder
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
3/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
3-4 tbsp Cream
1/4 cup Dry fruits (Cashew Nuts, Raisins, Makhane)
1/2 cup Milk
8-10 tbsp Vegetable oil
Salt to taste
Method of cooking Shahi paneer
Cut Paneer : Buy good quality Paneer & cut them into small cubes .
Ground paste : Grind onion ,ginger,garlic,green chilli in a blender and
make fine paste .
Switch on the stove ,pour oil in a pan,fry paneer over a medium heat till
it turn light brown & keep it aside .
Saute dry fruits in little oil & keep it aside .
Fry the ground paste in the pan ,no need to add any additional oil if
it remains ,sauté it until it turns light brown & til the oil
starts separating .
Add to the pan salt,red chilli powder,white pepper,turmeric powder,garam
masala ,sauté for 2 minutes –keep the flame low
Now add milk (cow milk or coconut milk as you like ) this will make gravy
,once the gravy is boiled ,reduce the heat & cook until the gravy
turns thick .
Now add half of the fried dry fruits in the gravy ,while it is being cooked
Now add the fried paneer cubes & 1 tbs cream –heat the mixture
for 5 minutes ,
Now the shahi paneer recipe is ready ,transfer it to a serving plate ,garnish
it with cream,dry fruits & with chopped coriander leaves .
