Kerala South Indian Mutton Roast
Mutton Roast South Indian,Kerala ,tamil nadu styles
Mutton Roast Ingredients:-
(1) mutton – 1 kg
(2) potato – 300 gms
(3) big onion – 2
(4) tomato – 2
(5) red chilly – 7
(6) pepper powder - 1 tea sp
(7) elachi, clove – 6 each
(8) cinnamon – 1 piece
(9) ginger – 1 piece
(10) garlic – 15 pellets
(11) vinegar – 3 tb sp
(12) ghee – 50 gms
(13) water – 1 cup
(14) salt – to taste
Method of preparation Mutton Roast
Wash mutton and remove bone. Grind garlic, ginger, pepper and salt and
mix with
vinegar. Apply this paste over the mutton and stir well. Cut big onion
into small
pieces. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Fry onion pieces, red chilly,
cinnamon,
clove, and elachi. When color changes to brown, add tomato and mutton
and fry
again. Pour 1 cup water close the cooker and boil at a high temperature.
Then
reduce the flame and heat for 20 minutes. When cooker becomes cool, open
and
take out.
