Kerala South Indian Mutton Fry

•Mutton Fry Ingredients:-
•
• 1. Mutton - 500 gms
• 2. big onion - 4 (cut into small pieces)
• 3. green chilly - 6 (cut into small pieces)
• 4. garlic, ginger paste - each 2 tea sp
• 5. dry coriander seeds - 2 tb sp
• 6. red chilly - 4
• 7. turmeric - as required
• 8. coconut crunches - 1 1/2 cup
• 9. fenugreek - 1 1/2 tea sp
• 10. small onion cut into small pieces - 2 tb sp
• 11. cinnamon - a little
• 12. clove - 4
• 13. potato - 2 (cut into 4 pieces)
• 14. tomato - 2 (cut into pieces)
• 15. coriander leaves, curry leaves - a little
• 16. oil - 4 tb sp
•
• Method of preparation Mutton Fry :
•
• Remove fat from mutton, cut into medium size pieces and wash.
Fry coriander seed, red chilly and turmeric together and grind to get
a fine paste.
• Heat 2 tea sp oil in a pan and fry coconut, fenugreek and small
onion
• till the color becomes brown. Grind the mixture.
• Heat a little oil separately and in that fry cinnamon and clove
• gently. Add onion and green chilly. when the onion gets cooked,
add
• ginger and garlic. When the characteristic smell comes, add coriander
• seed powder, stir for few seconds and then add 2 cups water and
• potato. Then heat it.
• when mutton gets cooked, dissolve coconut paste in 1/2 cup of
water
• and pour into the cooked mutton. Heat to boil. When the contents
• starts becoming thick stop heating.
• Serve as it is.
