Jack Fruit Jam Chakka Varatti making
Ingredients:-
1. Ripe jack fruit – ½ kgs
2. jaggery – ¼ kgs
3. butter – 50 gms
4. ghee – 1 sp
Method of preparation Chakka Varatti,Chakkara Peratti
1) Heat jiggery along with water. Continue heating till water is evaporated
and jiggery is melted.
2) Cut jack fruit slices into small pieces.
Pour ghee in a pan, add jack fruit pieces and heat the pan. Then add the
melted jiggery. Keep on stirring till the jack fruit is well cooked. Add
butter.
When the jam falls down as a thread while pouring, stop heating.
Serve when slightly hot.
