Veli Cheera Rice Spinach Rice Ingredients:-
(1) cooked biriyani rice – 2 cups
(2) spinach leaves cut into small pieces – 1 cup (cut the leaves
after dipping in boiled water)
(3) cooked green peas – ½ cup
(4) grated coconut – ¼ cup
(5) chilly – 4
(6) black gram dhal – 2 tea spoon
(7) gram dhal – 1 tea spoon
(8) mustard seeds – 1 tea spoon
(9) big onion cut into pieces – 2 table spoon
(10) salt – to taste
(11) coconut oil – 2 tea spoon
Method of preparation Veli Cheera Rice Spinach Rice
Pour oil into a non stick pan and heat. Add mustard seeds to splutter
and roast black gram dhal, gram dhal and chilly. When the smell of roasting
comes, add pieces of big onion and roast. Then add spinach leaves and
grated coconut and stir. After a minute add green peas and biriyani rice
and stir well. Keep a low flame, close the vessel and heat for a minute.
Then take it out and serve.
