Tri Color Pulav Ingredients:-
(1) Basmati rice – 1 ½ cup
(2) carrot cut into small pieces – ½ cup
(3) plucked petals from Cauli flower – ½ cup
(4) chopped palak leaves – ¼ cup
(5) cooked green peas – ¼ cup
(6) chopped big onion – ¼ cup
(7) ginger garlic paste – 1 tea spoon
(8) cinnamon, clove, and elachi – 2 each
(9) tomato juice – ½ cup
(10) salt – adjust to taste
(11) sugar – 2 tea spoon
(12) oil – 2 tea spoon
(13) coriander leaves – a handful (only if you like the smell)
(14) pineapple cut into small pieces – ¼ cup
Method of preparation Tri Color Pulav
Pour oil into non stick pan and heat. Add all ingredients under (8) into
that and roast. Then add ginger garlic mixture and roast it till the smell
ceases. Now add ingredients 2, 3 and 4, close the vessel and steam cook
for 5 minutes.
Filter out the basmati rice which is soaked for half an hour. Make it
dry and add into the pan and roast slowly. Add all other ingredients except
13 and 14, stir well, add 2 glasses of water and cook that in a pressure
cooker. On the first whistle, switch off the stove and allow it to cool.
Open the cooker, sprinkle coriander leaves and pineapple pieces and serve.
