Tapioca Murukku ( Kappa Murukku ) South Indian,Kerala ,tamil nadu styles receipe

Tapioca Murukku ( Kappa Murukku ) Ingredients:-
(1) Raw tapioca cut into slices – 2 kg
(2) Chilly powder – 100 grams
Sesame seed – 100 grams
Asafoetida powder – 1 pinch
(3) Coconut oil – ¼ kg
(4) Salt – as required

Method of preparation Tapioca Murukku ( Kappa Murukku )


Cut the raw tapioca into thin slices and then crush them . then mix with ingredients under (2) and add salt. Mix well and add this mixture into water kept in a vessel. Heat the vessel. Continue heating until the mixture becomes a thick paste. Remove the vessel from the stove and allow it to cool. Then take the mixture little by little and spread them in the shape of murukku on plantain leaf . Keep for some time so that the paste will become dry.
Pour coconut oil in a pan and add sesame seeds into that and boil the oil. Add the dry tapioca murukku from the plantain leaves into the boiling oil, get them fried and take out.
