Soya Bean Thoran Ingredients:-
(1) cooked soya bean – 1 cup
(2) chopped spinach leaves – ¼ cup
(3) grated papaya – 2 cups
(4) scrapped coconut – ¼ cup
(5) small onions – 6
(6) kandhari chilly ( a variety of green chilly ) – 6
(7) cumin seed – ½ tea spoon
(8) garlic – 6 pellets
(9) curry leaves – a little
(10) salt – adjust to taste
(11) oil – 1 tea spoon
(12) turmeric powder – ¼ tea spoon. (13) mustard seeds –
1

Method of preparation Soya Bean Thoran
Smash the coconut, chilly, onion, cumin seed and garlic and mix them together.
Let us call this the thoran mix.
Pour oil into a pan and heat it. Add mustard seeds to splutter. Then add
the thoran mix and stir. When the raw smell ceases, add the cooked soya
bean and grated papaya. Stir well. Close the vessel, reduce the flame
and heat for 5 minutes. Add spinach leaves and stir well. Stir –
fry for another 5 minutes so that no water shows out of it.
