Plantain Cone Kabab ( Vazha Coombu Kabab ) Vazha Koombu thoran


Plantain Cone Kabab ( Vazha Coombu Kabab ) Vazha Koombu thoran Ingredients:-
(1) Cone from plantain tree cut into thin pieces – 2 cup
Salt – to taste
(2) Big onion – 2
Green chilly – 5
Ginger – 1 small piece
(3) Oil – s required
(4) Coriander leaves cut into pieces – 1 tea spoon
Coriander seed powder – 1 tea spoon
Chilly powder – 1 tea spoon
Fennel– 1 tea spoon
(5) Gram dhal – ½ cup
(6) Lemon juice – 1 tea spoon
(7) Maida – 1 tea spoon
(8) Water – as required

Method of preparation Plantain Cone Kabab ( Vazha Coombu Kabab ) Vazha Koombu thoran


Cook the cone pieces in a vessel with sufficient quantity
of water. Heat oil in a pan and roast the pieces of
onion and ginger in the oil. Add this roasted mixture
into the cooked cone pieces and mix well. Add all the
ingredients under ( 4 ) into the above mixture.
Cook the gram dhal. When the roasted items are
cooled mix them with the cooked gram dhal, lemon
juice and salt.
Make a thick solution of maida in water. Make the
Cone – gram dhal mixture into 3 inches long pieces
with thickness that of the thumb . Dip the piece in
the maida solution and fry in boiling oil. Serve with
sauce.
