Pappaya Theeyal South Indian,Kerala ,tamil nadu styles receipe

Pappaya Theeyal Ingredients:-
(1) Raw papaya cut into pieces – 1 cup
(2) Drum sticks cut into pieces – 2
(3) Big tomato – 2
(4) Small onion – 1 cup
(5) Coconut – ½ of a coconut
(6) Fennel – 1 tea spoon
(7) Chilly powder – 2 tea spoon
(8) Coriander seed powder – 3 tea spoon
(9) Curry leaves – a little
(10) Oil – 2 tea spoon
(11) Salt – adjust to taste
(12) Custard seed – 1 tea spoon
(13) Squeezed juice of tamarind – 2 tea spoon

Method of preparation Pappaya Theeyal


Roast the following ingredients till they become reddish and then grind them –
Grated coconut
Fennel
Chilly powder and coriander seed powder
Heat oil in a pan and add curry leaves into that and heat. Then add pieces of small onion and roast that. Then add tomato pieces and roast for 3 minutes.
Take the roasted and ground mixture prepared first and mix that with drum stick and papaya. Add that to the above pan and add water, salt and tamarind juice and boil for 10 minutes with a low flame. Then stop heating and take out. This is an ideal side dish for chappathi, dosa and rice.
