Areeri Appam Ingredients:-
(1) raw rice – 500 grams
(2) coconut – 1
(3) jaggery – 250 grams
(4) coconut oil – as required
(5) cumin seed – 2 tea spoon
(6) salt – to taste
Method of preparation Areeri Appam
Soak the rice in water and grind into flour. Melt the jaggery in a pan
with a little water. When the jiggery is melted, filter out the water.
Grind grated coconut, cumin seed and salt together. Add the rice flour
into the melted jiggery. Add the coconut – cumin seed mixture also
into that. Mix thoroughly. Heat coconut oil in a pan. Take a little of
the prepared mixture and press it on palm. Then drop it into the boiling
oil , fry and take out.
