Water Apple Pickle Chambakka Achar Ingredients:
(1) Water apple – 25 Nos.
(2) Chilly powder – ¼ cup
(3) Fenugreek powder – 1 pinch
(4) Salt – to taste
(5) Asafoetida powder – 1 pinch
(6) Gingili oil – 1 table spoon
(7) Mustard seeds – ½ tea spoon
(8) Red chilly – 2 Nos.
Procedure for cooking Water Apple Pickle Chambakka Achar
Wash the water apple, wipe, get rid of the seeds and chop into pieces.
Add salt. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds to splutter. Add pieces
of red chilly. Then add chilly powder, asafoetida powder and fenugreek
powder and when they become hot add pieces of water apple. Stir well and
stop heating. On cooling, transfer into glass bottles.
