(Thakkali Meen)
Ingredients:
(1) Fleshy fish pieces – 500 grams (without thorns)
(2) Tomato – 300 grams
(3) Big onion – 150 grams
(4) Chilly powder – 4 tea spoon
(5) Meat masala powder – 1 tea spoon
(6) Pepper powder – 1 tea spoon
(7) Turmeric powder – ½ tea spoon
(8) Fennel powder – 1 tea spoon
(9) Oil – 3 tea spoon
(10) Curry leaves – a little
(11) Salt – adjust to taste
Procedure for cooking
Take half quantity of the following ingredients:-
Pepper powder
Turmeric powder
Chilly powder
Fennel &
Salt.
Method of cooking Tomato Fish Thakkali Meen
Mix them together and apply the mixture on the fish pieces and keep for
30 minutes. Roast big onion in one tea spoon oil for 5 minutes in combination
method. Roast the fish pieces with 2 tea spoon oil for 8 minutes in combination
method. Flip the pieces after 5 minutes while roasting. Add the remaining
quantity of masala powders, oil and the tomato to the roasted onion and
stir well. Add the fish pieces also into that and roast again for 8 minutes
in combination method. Add curry leaves after 6 minutes, while roasting.
