Sweet Gram Balls Mundiri Kothu Ingredients:
(1) Rava – ½ cup
Roasted gram – ½ cup
Green gram dhal – ½ cup
Grated coconut – ½ cup
(2) Rice flour – 2 table spoons
Maida – 1 cup
Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
(3) Ghee – 1 table spoon
(4) Jaggery – ½ kg
(5) Water – as required
(6) Oil – as required
(7) Elachi powder – ½ tea spoon
(8) Sesame seeds – 1 table spoon
Procedure for cooking Sweet Gram Balls Mundiri Kothu
Roast the ingredients under (1) in ghee and grind them. Take jaggery in
a pan, add a little water and heat the pan so as to melt the jaggery.
When the jiggery is melted filter it out. Mix the powdered ingredients
under (1) with sesame seeds and elachi powder. Pour the melted jaggery
into the mixture and mix thoroughly. Make small balls with the mixture.
The balls may be in the size of an Amla fruit.
Add sufficient water into the ingredients under (2). Stir it and make
that just like dosa mix. Pour oil into a pan and heat it. Dip the balls
one by one in the maida mix and fry them in the heated oil and take out.
