Mixed Stew South Indian,Kerala ,tamil nadu styles receipe
Mixed Stew Ingredients:
(1) Yam – 500 grams
(2) Raw plantain – 2 Nos.
(3) Green gram – 1 small cup
(4) Tamarind – as required
(5) Salt – adjust to taste
(6) Curry leaves – a little
(7) Coconut – ½ of a coconut
(8) Red chilly – 5
(9) Black gram dhal – 1 tea spoon
(10) Pepper – 11 numbers
(11) Asafoetida powder – ½ tea spoon
(12) Mustard seed – 1 tea spoon
(13) Coconut oil – 2 tea spoon
Procedure for cooking Mixed Stew
Cut yam and raw plantain into small pieces, mix with green gram and boil
in a cooker. Add tamarind, salt and asafoetida. Roast red chilly, pepper
and black gram dhal in coconut oil. Add grated coconut into that and grind
the mixture. Then pour the puree over the yam and plantain pieces. Add
curry leaves and boil the mixture. Then add mustard seeds to splutter
and serve when a little hot.
