Manoharam South Indian,Kerala ,tamil nadu styles receipe
(1) Gram flour – 1 kg
(2) Jaggery – 500 grams
(3) Coconut oil – ¾ kg
(4) Salt – 1 pinch
(5) Raw rice flour – 1 ½ kg
Procedure for cooking Manoharam
Sieve the gram flour and rice flour. Add salt and water and mix well.
Heat the coconut oil in a pan and when the oil boils, squeeze the mixture
through a Murukku maker. Squeeze the paste as straight pieces instead
of round pieces. Fry those pieces and take them out. Take jiggery in a
pan, add a little water and then boil. When it attains one thread consistency
stop heating and take that out. Keep the fried pieces dipped in the melted
jaggery until the jiggery gets coated all over the pieces.
